Tarnagulla is a gold mining town in central Victoria, 183 kms NW of Melbourne, situated in the Shire of Loddon. Gold was discovered in the 1852, and this lead to the establishment of the town in 1860.

Travelling to Newbridge you will pass by Llanelly which was home to 20,000 people with the discovery of alluvial gold in 1865.
