Bridgewater-on-Loddon Accessibility

Farming is the heart and the Loddon River is the life blood of Bridgewater on Loddon and the surrounding district.

Gold originally attracted many, but it is the liquid gold of the Loddon River that enables families and communities to live, grown and prosper, creating this wonderful community that it is today.

Although more peaceful than in its gold rush heyday, the main street sports a thriving bakery, a treasure trove of an op shop and the heritage architecture throughout the town, and a picnic on the banks of the Loddon is a draw card for both nature lovers and water sport enthusiasts.

Bridgewater enjoys plenty of warm, sunny days, clear star filled evenings and balmy summer nights and will be hosting the Paralympic waterski championships in 2021.
